Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

BrainFog is designed to work with as little data as possible. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, or phone number. The information we do collect is:

• Health and wellness usage data — which Hz frequency modules you open and play, and how often and how long you use them (described in full under “Health and Wellness Data” below).
• App analytics — anonymous information about how you interact with the app, such as screens viewed, features used, and session length.
• Technical and performance data — device model, operating system version, app version, language/region, and crash and error diagnostics used to keep the app stable.

All of this information is collected through Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, and is associated only with a random, app-generated analytics identifier — never with your real-world identity.

2. Health and Wellness Data

Because BrainFog is a wellness app, information about how you use its Hz frequency modules is health-related. We disclose our handling of this data in full here.

What we access and collect

The health-related data we access and collect is limited to your use of the frequency modules, specifically:

• the specific Hz frequency modules you select and play;
• the number of sessions you start and complete;
• how long each module or session lasts; and
• general patterns of which wellness modules are used most.

How it is collected

This data is collected anonymously and in aggregate through Firebase Analytics. It is linked only to a random analytics identifier — not to your name, account, email address, or any other identifier — and we cannot use it to determine who you are.

How we use it

We use this health-related usage data only to:

• understand which Hz frequency modules are most used and most helpful, so we can improve and prioritize them;
• measure overall app engagement and performance; and
• identify and fix technical problems.

What we do not collect or do

BrainFog does not ask you to enter, and does not collect, any self-reported health information such as symptoms, mood, medical conditions, diagnoses, or wellness goals. BrainFog does not connect to Android Health Connect, Apple Health, or any device health sensors (such as heart-rate or sleep sensors), and does not read any data from them. We never sell your health-related data, and we never share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.

BrainFog is intended for general wellness and relaxation only. It does not provide medical advice and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical care.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• operate, maintain, and improve the app and its Hz frequency modules;
• understand which modules are most effective for our users;
• monitor app performance and fix technical issues; and
• keep the app secure and prevent abuse.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and BrainFog does not display third-party advertising.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

BrainFog offers two optional subscription tiers:

• Monthly subscription — a recurring monthly payment for access to all Hz frequency modules.
• Yearly subscription — an annual payment, at a discounted rate, for full access.

All payments are processed securely by the app store you purchased through (Google Play Billing on Android or the Apple App Store on iOS). BrainFog does not receive or store your payment card details, and we do not have access to your full payment information. Please refer to Google’s and Apple’s privacy policies for details on how they handle payment data.

5. Third-Party Services

BrainFog relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — anonymous usage analytics and crash/performance monitoring.
• Google Play Billing — subscription payment processing on Android.
• Apple App Store — subscription payment processing on iOS.

Data handled by Firebase is processed in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal or health-related data, and we do not share it for advertising. The only sharing that occurs is with the service providers listed above (such as Google), who process anonymous data on our behalf so the app can function. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the app.

7. Data Security

Because BrainFog collects only anonymous data and does not store personal accounts or payment details, the risk to you is minimal. The analytics and diagnostic data we do collect is transmitted over encrypted connections and handled by Google in accordance with its security standards.

8. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics and diagnostic data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and in line with the retention controls provided by Firebase Analytics (by default, up to 14 months), after which it is automatically deleted or aggregated. Because the data is not linked to your identity, it cannot be tied back to you.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You remain in control of the limited data BrainFog collects. You can:

• Opt out of analytics — disable usage analytics through your device’s privacy settings and, where available, within the app’s settings.
• Manage your subscription — view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play or Apple App Store account.
• Uninstall the app — removing BrainFog stops any further data collection.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we do not hold information that identifies you, we generally cannot link collected data to a specific person; however, you may contact us at any time with questions or requests, and we will respond as required by law.

10. Children’s Privacy

BrainFog is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

11. International Users

BrainFog is operated by Intellimatic and uses Google services that may process and store data on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the app, you understand that your anonymous usage data may be processed in these locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify users within the app. Your continued use of BrainFog after an update means you accept the revised policy.
